The spinmaster black Adam sets are slightly smaller than the main Batman line, and the movie Batman line was slightly taller, it's just strange, but most likely it's license issues.

Not sure if license issues per se would force a redesign, but maybe they had less lead time to develop the figures and had to cut a few corners. But it could also be that license costs might have forced some simplification. The Batman movie figures didn't seem to sell terribly well--not until they went clearance, at least, at which point they moved pretty quick. Maybe they had to budget in slightly higher profit margins per piece in case the line wasn't a major hit.
And yeah, definitely not exactly a collector's line, but the deco and sculpts are good and the packaging looks sharp, so MOC collectors may not care too much.

That set looks pretty cool. Who carries it? Shame the only way to get it is with a Black Adam repack, but without the lightning bolts.
Oh, and maybe you guys can help me out with something. I had purchased the Batman vs. Clayface with Batcycle set a while back, and only finally got around to opening it up a few days ago. Turns out Batman's hip balls are kind of deformed and it's messing with the ability to pose his legs. It could probably be fixed up but I don't really have the initiative. If anyone out there is not afraid of performing a little surgery to fix him up and is willing to take him off my hands, PM me, and I can let you have him. And on the flip side, does anyone out there have that particular model of Batman, in good shape, they may be willing to sell or trade to me? I don't need anything else from the set; just the figure itself. Local Walmart had a few The Batman figures left, down to $3, so I grabbed Selina Kyle. Man, that figure is leggy. It's like that ZZ Top song in toy form.

Hey I’m a newcomer to these figures. Spinmaster 4” torsos - are they hard like ABS or softer plastic along with the legs like fortnite figures?

Yeah, but that didn't do anything. The hip balls are made out of a hard material that doesn't really respond to heat, and neither do the hip sockets. The hip balls probably need to be filed down (they're almost football-shaped rather than round) and the hip sockets will probably need to be filled in with putty or something (as the hip balls have dug out a bit of the socket material). It's doable, but I don't have the motivation to do it. So he's up for grabs if anyone wants him to try. Hopefully I'll find another. It's not a huge priority, just a bit of a disappointment.
