My holy grail through the 90's was the Buck Rogers Starfighter. I still think this is the coolest toy ever. I drive my kids crazy, any Joe or Star Wars battle that gets stale is resolved by Buck and Wilma strafing everyone with thier Starfighters!

I've got every single sniper from the McFarlane military line at this point.
Some of them were expensive beyond belief. :( I plan on making a shadow box case for both them and the original 13 Joes once we get the 25th Zap.

Star Wars, Every wave till now. I have six full tackle boxes of loose figures with some MOC, but only my favs. I have been into Star Wars sonce I Was a kid and have been collecting them since 1995. I also collect asorted figures from other collections. Marvel, DC among others. If I like it, I buy it. The only collections I have are GI Joe and Star Wars.... Oh, I also have all of the 2002 MOTU line plus exclusives. Great figures which are now rendered useless due to the incredible sculpting of the nostalgiac He-Man figure snow being offered for the small cost of your first born.

I have a pretty good collection of stuff I think. A large part are vintage marvel figures and some really great statues. I have some DC direct and the 1st wave of Green Latern including variants. I have a pretty good collection of Star Wars, recent and vintage with the prize being an original AT-AT in major need of parts. Also a crap load of Friday The 13th stuff...and then my Universal Monsters, which I think next to my vintage collection are my fave. Of course Joes....theyre better now then when I was a kid!! Affordable..until..you know, you reach that "crazy hunting" status and just fun.
I collect for a few reasons. 1 im a nerd about it, love comics, back story the art of the figures, just plain old think theyre cool. 2. I never leave my childhood too far behind, these things are a constant reminder of safety, imagination, and fun. 3. Nothing better then comming home from work, or the gym or wherever, comming home, nursing a beer and heading to my toy room just to clear my head and have these little pieces of plastic..and paper (comics) put a legitimate smile on my face. I also have some sports memoribillia....but I've exceeded my typing privledges! |

I'm a loose collector, not a fan of MOC stuff. I started off with Beast Wars back in the day, and got back into collecting with Transformers Universe. I mainly collect Transformers, GI Joes and Marvel Universe stuff right now, pretty much anything new. I prefer the in store hunt rather than collecting vintage at the moment, but that will probably change. I want to get into Hot Wheels and possibly my Gundam collection going again, I really enjoyed those also.
