The same one where I bought that dollhouse and guess what? They have no toys anymore. I buy virtually all my clothes there and many other things. But no more toys!
Why? Because of that lame law that passed a few months ago. I talked to the manager of the store and he said that they are majorly hurting for this. They are trying to fight it though as used toys make up a large portion of their sales. Its rather frustrating seeing our hurting economy, then legislation like this is passed. Why all the sudden are toys considered a prohibited item? Is this suppose to be like the depression, where used childrens toys/clothes are considered black market goods? I talked to my Mom about it and she agrees with the law citing the fact that China had lead tainted toys. I told her, we have a free market and this is just an excuse to fine people. We had one incidence of lead tainted toys from China, and everyone decides to have kittens. But this doesn't affect me, as much as it will affect the families who can't afford to shop at target. The families who can't buy the latest toys so they choose thrift stores and other similar places. Thats sad for kids. As a child, I looked forward to going to the thrift store and getting a bag of toys for a buck. Like B-movies and other things, these parts of slowly moving behind us as we enter a sterilized age. I hope like prohibition, this law will be overturned though. |

yes I hope they overturn the law cause I know lots of people who give them there old toys and its very good stuff, I wonder what they are doing with toys they get now? I hope they are keeping them in the back as stock or something and not throwing them away!

Never been to a thrift store. Seems odd to me that they'd be selling Joes, but hey, get em' where you find em'.

well it's worth checking sometimes.
like where most unsold merchandise from big retail stores usually end up there.
