where indeed. Playmates screwed the pooch big time, spooking Hasbro into not attempting it at all. For shame

For Star Trek toys check Marshalls, Ross, or Big Lots.

I'm glad...I mean between Trek, T4, and Prince of Persha figures to me it was the decline of action figures we presently see.
Which baffles me completely as to why toy makers would NOT take cues from those terrible mistakes made in those action figure lines that have crap articulation. Those damn things were and in some stores STILL are sitting on pegs, and yet what have we seen in recent figures? TDKR, IM3, and Retaliation? The same concept...which to me is just the quick cash grab theory....put ANY piece of crap out no matter how bad a figure it is and just let it sit there. I think the thoughts are just this. They don't want to put any effort or thought into it because that costs money. And stores have shown little interest in supporting an ongoing line...which reeks of the plague infesting todays society here today gone in the 30 second 120 character time span attention of the world today. So manufactures have simply gone with it...put out the cheapest crappiest thing they can make as long as its 'NEW' or 'RE-IMAGINED' or 'RE-ENVISIONED' with a PR blitz. Which stores buy at full price because it has a new spin on it and when interest starts to fades and it goes to clearence or secondary retailers like Marshell's and such, then Hasbro or whoever still makes its inital cash wad to finance the next weak wave of crapola. |
