To pay 70 dollars for a 40 dollar wave is a bit steep. Factor in shipping. Which is on average 10 dollars. You have 80 dollars. 80 divided by 5 is 16 a piece. Now if I wanted every one of these figures I would probably consider it, but since I'm only really looking forward to two of them, that's 40 dollars a figure. . . no thank you. Kudos to those that want to pull the trigger on this. As for me, I will not further the retail price increase on this line by saying it's ok to pay 16 dollars a figure for a sub-par wave.
By no means am I putting down those that pre-ordered this. Obviously we all have our priorities, likes, dislikes, etc. But for me, this just isn't the wave to pay this much. Last edited by JohnnyAngel77; 10-05-2010 at 10:05 PM.. |

My reply wasn't in retort to your post. Just stating that I don't like paying retail for figures, let alone more ;)

For others, I can easily see why they would not want to go the pre order route though. |

I'll have to agree with you on the stress issues. But the problem isn't solely the retailers. Hasbro refuses to put together case assortments that move equally and consistently, which in turn, leaves the retailers full of pegs worth of figures nobody buys. They don't stock cause they want to move the stuff already on shelves. If the case assortments they were receiving moved equally, they would stock consistently.
The MSRP is 6.99 on these what's the problem retailers? And how about a clearance on these peg warmers? And Hasbro you know the case packing is causing the line to choke at retail. |

Yeah, it is retail prices and bad case assortments keeping this line from being the the biggest action figure line this year. I dare say they could out sell SW if the retailers priced right and Hasbro packed right.

Finally saw Galactus at my TRU today, left him there, but I just got a TRU coupon for 20% off, so he will be mine tomorrow.
Also the TRU SHIELD & Spider Friends 3pk's are now $10 and the DD/SS/IM 3pk is $13.

That's a good idea. Perfect way to use that coupon. I always get upset there's nothing "big" I want when I get those. Twenty percent off of 7 dollars just isn't as rewarding.
