When, where?
Considering how the movie did at the box office, will they hit the shelves already clearanced? They do look good though, hope I can grab them.

Placards say November. Doesn't mean shit, the movie tanked here. Mezco did a 4" Mars Attacks Martian, showed it off last SDCC and it's in limbo now.
Sure, I'd like to scavenge those for parts, but until I see sighting posts for them they're just vaporware. |

They probably are dead...like Konigstiger said the Movie tanked badly and I don't see the 6-7" flying off the pegs at TRU.

I didn't even know they were planning toys. Saw the movie this week. A bit of weird movie but what to expect when Johnny Deep plays an Indian.
What find weird is that they wait for the movie box office performance to release the toys. Shouldn't these be out in parallel? And just because the movie wasn't so good doesn't mean it won't sell. Weird decision nonetheless. Based on this I wonder what will happen with Robocop. I saw some release dates for April only which means 2 months after it hits cinemas almost worldwide (until now I thought these were because it was foreign stores dates and with shipping and all they were just playing safe for the pre-orders). But reading this I wonder if they are an actual date given by Jada. Are they waiting for the box office performance to decide whether to release toys now? Don't tell me its a new process now. I think they loose a lot more in R&D then in production so can't quite understand this new philosophy if that is the case off course.

They probably thought the movie was gonna have far more legs than it did, so a November release for the 4" line may have made sense. As it is, the movie tanked here, so who knows if these are still in the works. The dvd drops in December, so maybe they'll make it after all. |
