Around here there's not a lot of garage sale finds but every so often I stumble across something. A few years ago I went to a garage sale and found these (pictured) and paid around $10 for everything. The funny thing was I had gone to school with the guy whose mother was having the sale and he was there. He gave me dirty looks the whole time, probably wondering why I was buying his old toys, but I didn't care.
The other great find I stumbled across was a huge lot of Major Matt Mason toys from the 60's and a GI Joe armored car. They took $2.50 for everything and the space command center even had its original box. So what has everyone else stumbled across that they either bought or passed on? I'm still kicking myself for the sales I went to in the late 80's and early 90's that I didn't grab everything. One in particular had almost every Star Wars figure and vehicle imaginable. |

My son and I frequent garage sales all the time. Two years ago we found a 30 gallon tupperware bin full of legos. More than half were in original unopended bags. The bin was so full that you couldn't fit the lid on it. Most of the sets that weren't in bags were still built. I asked the lady runnign the sale how much and she paused and said 5 bucks. I gave her 10 because i felt bad

I find odds and ends, stuff my kids might want. Never anything good for me. Several years ago my wife got a clock for $6. Turned out to be worth over $200. We still have it as she refuses to sell her $6 clock.

These threads make me so jealous, lol!
I've told myself numerous times that, in the spring, I'm gonna go yard sale-ing and find cool shit.....but then I never do. |

I can't really pin it down. Here's a link to my yard sale finds http://www.hisstank.com/forum/toys/1...-ys-cg-fm.html
There was one time my wife found an accessory battle pack. She asked the lady if she had any more Joe stuff. Turns out she had an enormous amount of stuff that she sold to me. It was my very first score. |
