I haven't closely inspected each one, but it seems like Hasbro might've used some existing Iron Man figures to create the IM3 Assemblers. Like how they made non-articulated GIJoe "Retaliation" driver figures. You could tell they once had joints, but they've been remolded as single parts.
Has anybody tried modifying the Assemblers to accept older IM figures' limbs? There's no waist/chest joint, but that's where the bulk of the suit redesign seems to be. They may not be a perfect match, but I'd bet some Mk.6/7 repainted limbs would look okay on a Mk. 42 head & torso. |
