Dear Hasbro,
With the highly successful BSG re-imagined TV series that spawned so many fans and now BSG BLOOD AND CHROME, the idea of owning an 18 inch viper would really be a crowning achievement to anyone's toy collection. QMX has put out a 1/18 scale viper that is electronic and handpainted that costs about 1500$. If you ask me that is way too steep a price. Your BSG titaniums were sought after like gold in the toy aisle. There is a market for a large toy viper. Fans will want it and not just one. Think about it, you could do variations of the viper and pilot figure it comes with 1-BSG RE-IMAGINED MK II w/ Apollo figure MK II w/ Starbuck figure MK II w/ Husker figure (RAZOR version) MK II w/ Hot Dog 2-BSG Blood and Chrome MK II w/Husker figure (different younger version)--change the engine exhausts to more tapered shape like in the show (thats the only change) 3-BSG Re-Imagined Battle Damaged version I think the original 1/18 measurements were 18" x 7" x 5" No need for electronics and just make a nice cockpit with flip down skids. All in all, it would be pretty decent or you could make it so you just put a generic figure and a decal sheet to change up the names, your call. There is a market for this and fans would eat it up. In this day and economy, you really need to work on licenses that fans really want. BSG is incredibly enduring. If successful, you might even want to do a MK I BSG CLASSIC from the 1970s or a MK VII --either would be great. Considering that you made the Skystriker, bravo, great going, I thought it was a great risk, I think this venture would be less of a risk and more positive outcome. Thank you for your time. Skipper |
