BBI put up 2 new photos of an M1025 or M1113 HMMWV with an enclosed turret on Facebook. It was captioned as one of the rarest Elite Force products with a limited run of 30 finished pieces. However, it is hinted that they may reproduce it in the near future.

Hmmm. It would be interesting to see. Knowing what the likely retail would be I don't know how many takers they would get.

The problem with the prices is that BBI seems to be more collector-focused after their revamp. And since it seems retail is more reluctant to carry the Elite Force line (which seemed to do well), the only available spurce would be from specialty stores at higher cost. But the Humvees originally retailed around $15-20 (if memory serves me correctly), so a marginal increase to $30-35 wouldn't seem too overpriced. But that's just my speculative opinion.

These would be strictly online/brick and mortar specialty hobby shops. The production numbers will not be high (what is currently being attibuted as most of the reason for Bbi's skyrocketing prices), and if they said 60-80 bucks I wouldn't be surprised.
Merit's repaint of 21st's (then JSI's) UH-1C is gonna be $100, and that thing cost 40 bucks when it first hit retail 11 years back. |
