I had ALL the Visionaries stuff as a kid and man I adored it. They knocked seven shades of shit outta one another!!
as an adult I lucked into an extremely lucrative series of trades with a few guys over Harry Potter and Euro exclusive Bat stuff. Visionaries were just one set of 80s gems these dudes were willing to part with......all MOC/MISB too. |

CV, they are great!
Like 4.75" o-ring joes, with holograms. As a kid, I only had Lexor & Cindarr. I always wanted Cravex, but never found one in the wild. I wanted them all, but my dad pretty much gave me the same line about having tons of other toys already. The few I had as a kid were purchased with my allowance, which is why I actually had a couple of them. The vehicles were too expensive for my 9-10 budget, so I settled on the single packed figures instead. Quote:
Great toys and great cartoon. Only thirteen episodes but well done. It is annoying how the 13th (last) episode leaves the watcher kind of hanging though. A MISB/MOC collection? You are very lucky! Do you have loose ones as well?Mine are loose because I like to be able to pose them and occasionally handle them. Originally, Visionaries were supposed to have a second wave/series in 1988/89 but the line was cancelled before full scale production began due to high costs (making the holograms). The toyline made moderate profit, but not enough to be axed by Hasbro. I didn't know about the TRU 90's initiative. It is too bad things didn't pan out. I wonder what kind of product we may have saw on the shelves/pegs if the deal went ahead? Quote:

Not only was there a second series planned, it was to include a huge playset, which supposedly would have included a three-dimensional hologram.
I had Cravex and my friend had Witterquick. I even wrote a short Visionaries story when I was ten or so. I remember Witterquick stabbed some villain in the heart with his weird handheld weapon. In retrospect, I was a weird kid. |
