How many of you think we will see GI Joe themed lego sets like they have done with Star Wars and Indiana Jones? Would you buy them?...

I doubt it will happen as much as we'd like it to...
The Star Wars and Indy stuff happened because it is a Lucasfilm thing and not a Hasbro thing. And I think Lego has a no-war toys policy... which makes no sense due to the overwhelming amount of weapons in Star Wars, Indy, and all the other stuff... Would be cool though... |

They do Batman, which is neither Hasbro nor is it Lucas. If they did it, it'd be based on the movie and a video game would be included. If it's based on the movie, it's not war, it's "anti-terrorism", which means pro-American. And if they're not anti-terrorist, Lego is anti-American.

Good idea!! But I won't be buying them. I'm just focusing on the main line. Unlike everybody here, I didn't win lottery to buy everything with G.I.Joe labels on it. Now, I'm considering pimping myself but I dunno. It's not a safe career.

Lego G.I. Joe would kick ass.
Star Wars and Indy is Lucasfilm, like has been said. And neither are "war toys" per se, even though there are guns and violence. Joe is a straight forward war toy. Indy is adventure toy and Star Wars is science fiction fantasy. I'd buy some Lego sets. I love the Star Wars, just can't get 'em cause the really cool ones are so expensive.

I definitely wouldn't buy LEGO G.I. Joe sets. LEGO sets are expensive, relative to G.I. Joe action figures - and, since I've a budget for my Joe collecting, if given a choice between: a LEGO G.I. Joe set for 20 bucks, or three G.I. Joe figures for 20 bucks, a DVD set with five figures for 20 bucks, or a vehicle set and a figure for 20 bucks - I'd buy the non-LEGO stuff every time.

Seriously...I want to get the collector's edition Death Star with the stand, but I can't swing $200 for something which will take me a month to put together and not be able to display.
