Even if I hadn't promised the wife I would stick to one collection I would pass on MASK. Looking at it now I'm not sure why I had a few of them. I think anything that had a half we decent cartoon sold back in the 80's. I don't think they would do good now.
I've actually been looking for someone to trade me Joes for the few I have from when I was a kid and have struck out so far. |

I was browsing the net the other day (lame, I know) and I came across a site that catalogued the MASK toys. I forgot how flippin' cool these were! I had a few back in the day, but always wanted more. Does anyone know if the molds for these things still exist? I would totally buy some if they were re-released.

I think it could work. As others have said, it would have to be in a smaller scale than 1:18. I can see the concept working, though. There are so many reality shows about people modifying their cars and motorcycles, I could see a vehicle-centric property doing well. Especially one that incorporates transforming and modular weapons.
I'd also like to see Centurions and Inhumanoids come back. I love the idea of modularity in an action figure line. I think Sigma 6 squandered the opportunity to really use the peg system better, so I think a line like Centurions where you can mix-and-match different weapons and attach them to figures would be cool. Inhumanoids had a cool concept but terrible toys. Super-tech guys fighting underground monsters sounds awesome, though. Sectaurs is another property that I would like to see revived. Again, a great concept. Insect-humans riding large insects is just so cool. |
