Which specific socket is it? If it's easily accessible, I'll usually put a bit of a coat of clear acrylic nail polish around the edge of the socket and/or on the plug to bulk them up. I'm not sure if that would work here. I also picked up some sticky putty (the kind that doesn't cure or dry); would that work here?
thanks for your input guys! |

so i tried hot glue last night, and it didnt give me the same results as the head socket. then i remembered on joecustoms someone put heat shrink on their loose ball socket joints and gave that a shot.
it had better results, but it would rub itself down when i moved the arm around. throw this in the pile of reasons that joecustoms' forum as a resource will be missed. |

Anytime I had a loose joint where there's a peg into a socket (including t-bar hip balls), I would just wrap a bit of teflon thread tape (plumber's tape) around the peg. It's a super easy fix that works really well because you're just filling in the extra space with a layer of malleable friction.

summing it up, the site was going to shut down before 2020, but because the pandemic it gave people something to do and connect with other people during and it was put off. it was supposed to be the forums were locked down because they cost money to keep going, but still up for resources and the site would still be taking submissions. what actually happened was the forum petered on a little bit with some people still posting after the end date, and the site and it just completely shut down recently.

If it's still loose, try wrapping some pipe thread tape around the heat shrink. Some times it's a process of adding a layer of tape, testing, and then adding another layer, etc. Usually I'd just wrap a couple of layers of tape tightly around the peg & ball & it was good. I've also used it on neck balls. I don't think it's ever not worked for me, but YMMV. Hope it works for you.
