It’d be one thing if these lines weren’t trash, but the 6” economy lines aren't really compatible at all with Legends 6”- there more like a 5" line, so I don’t understand what they gain or who these appeal to that wouldn't find a 4" figure equally appealing, as to where if they were 4” compatible, we’d buy them even with the lesser quality. I know I was prepared to get that ms marvel
At least now when this garbage inevitably rots on the pegs it won't be used as another example of "No on wants 4-inch figures anymore!" and "See? They tried. Collectors just won't support the line." You know we would have heard that (and you can probably think of a few people who would have said it). I think that's the silver lining here even for those who planned to buy at least one of something. And Hasbro doesn't need any more excuses to stick to their higher-margin 1:12 stuff. Anyway, my thinking is generally if they're going to be releasing anything in 1:18 they damn well better nail the execution otherwise I'd rather they skip it. I'm a bit relieved this isn't 1:18 and I'm concerned for the future of the Retro Joe line specifically because it really looks like they're not even attempting to nail that one so far.

I'm late to this thread and too lazy to go through it all. Does anyone else remember the action figure game featuring 3.5 to 4 inch marvel characters? They came with battle stands that allowed them to be posed I all manners including flying! I thought they were pretty cool and ahead of the curve back then.

I had seen those 5” figures in stores and wondered if they were the 4” figures I was waiting for. I didn’t compare them to my list because I didn’t want it to be true.
Oh, well. I guess I can cross them off and forget them. Darn it. |

SWEET AX!
I prefer the 4" line. I grabbed a lot for the Schleich play sets to go with them.

I don’t know if I’m late to the party on this one, but I stumbled across a 1:18th scale Spider-Ham at Target last week. I wrote a blog about turning it into a slightly more articulated Spider-Ham at https://gotstratosphere.com/2020/08/...le-spider-ham/
Check it out if you’re into that kind of thing! |
