Comic stores did that to themselves. Lousy customer service, higher prices, and outrageous costs for toys, not to mention hiring ass holes to work for them.

Marvel doesn't need to reboot anything. They just need to stop with all the huge crossover events. And let their creative teams develop good stories contained within each book. Rebooting is just a knee-jerk reaction to when you aren't creative to tell interesting stories. Just throw everything else out that other people have been working decades to create.
I only read the occasional X-Men trade. I just think that mini-verse has become too dour. The glory days of the X-Men were in the 70s and 80s for me. Stories that had the characters actually living lives and not always in costume. It might seem like a silly detail, but I feel the X-Men are always in costume. It just seems they aren't actually having lives and therefore aren't real characters. And they should allow some non-mutants into their world. Certainly their lives can't only be about being mutants. There are obviously non-mutants that can assist and care for them too. Imagine if Ms. Marvel (as an example) wanted to join the X-Men. Would they turn her away, because she's not a mutant? It just makes their whole existence seem so insular. I just don't find many Marvel comics (I don't even bother with DC) to be very interesting anymore. It just may be that I burned out in general for superheroes. I find the Roger Stern era of Avengers to be much more entertaining than anything of the Bendis years. The characters felt real and did their situations. Now, it just seems like they go from one event to another. It doesn't feel natural at all. |

What up Omega MU's?
I'm back, after a Game of Thrones marathon. All season 1 and half of season 2. Now I'm almost caught up to Al and all you GoT junkies. Now I gotta catch up with the AvX stuff I'm only up to issue 5, but I'm a quick reader. Marvel now? The Walking Dead is making me feel some kind of way. Shout out to Jinx 723 for the She Hulk/Wolvie CP. Still on a half ass hunt for the Doom/Spidey and Wave 18/19.
