The only partially-positive news in all this is that there's a rumor that Lucasfilm is going to kick it up to two movies a year rather than this "one every year" business, because the 3D "fad" is cooling down (at least in the United States) for everything except the biggest blockbusters (and the toy line seems to be on the downward spiral as well). I only say that's "positive" in the sense we'll get this 3D Star Wars garbage out of the way faster, and get to the OT that much quicker.

Heck, the whole point of the escape pod was to give the kids something they -could- "fly around." And "lack of play space?" Seriously? It's got just about everything you need to replicate almost all the scenes that take place on the Falcon from the film (and about 2 x as much space as the original Falcon, if not more), but folks are complaining that they packed in an action feature for the kids and some electronics? I guess this is just today's reminder of why adult collectors are regarded as nit-picky and impossible to please. |
