I know. I was just lucky they had a 50 percent off clearance sale recently. The only sets they didn't clearance were Bumblebee and Sideswipe.

It does seem that most folks simply want the Kreons. And while they're neat in their own gimmicky way, the plastic seems too weak. Of the three or four I own there were stress marks out of the box. I'd imagine that it's only a matter of rigorous play for most of these to wind up armless in the hands of a kid.
I wish the Kre-o heads for the TF building sets weren't made from PVC but rather ABS. I would more interested in picking them up just for the heads for more custom work. Quote:
Kmart had the best sale on Kre-o recently. They had them all clearanced and 50 percent off that price to boot.

LEGO Minifigure Case - Large - LEGO LEGO Accessories LEGO Minifigure Case - Small - LEGO LEGO Accessories I did not buy them at BBTS. They're hard to find as it seems only TRU has them and not all of them do. I found a big one and small one at one TRU. They still had an old sale tag up for BOGO 50% off ($22.99 and $7.49 for each). The one closest to me doesn't have any. Another had a bunch of the small ones, but no sale. I bought two at $14.99 each, but there is one more TRU I'll check soon to see if they have any big ones...then I'll return two of the small ones. The small ones hold 8 figures and the big ones hold 16. Anyway, the only problem I really have with any of my Kreons is that I got a headless one. It was the police officer in the Megatron set. I called Hasbro. I have to send them that figure (minus his head) and they'll send me a new one. They gave me a prepaid shipping label. I just need to drop him off at the PO.

The TF Kre-O sets are a huge hit at our house. I hope the fact that they're showing up in clearance aisles doesn't spell doom for the brand.

Here are my Kreons so far...
I just ordered the Devastator set and I've got 2 more of the small cases for future Kreons. I'm still waiting for Hasbro to send my replacement police officer from the Megatron set.

I didn't want this info cluttered with my previous post.
I found blind packed Transformers Kreons at my local Walmart today. So far, I have 5 of them. They are easy to determine which is which as there is a printed code on the bottom front of each package. However, they are hard to feel up as the parts are not very distinct like Lego accessories. I simply bought one of each number that they had. The numbers are: 21511 0: Crankstart 21511 1: Scorponok 21511 2: Waspinator 21511 7: Spinister 21511 8: Galvaton (the one everyone will want I'm sure) That's all the numbers they had, but the package said collect all 6, so I assume the there must be a 21511 3, or 4, or 5, or 6, or 9 that should be Sunstorm (another one everyone will want). I guess someone already took them all. There seemed to be about 2 or 3 or each out of what was left in the little shelf bin. The package stated "Prevew Series" so I guess this is not officially Series 1 yet as they will probably be more in each Series. I'll see about posting pics later. I'm saying it again, Kreo Joe/TF crossover. Its the perfect medium to give the fans what they've wanted since the days of Marvel's line blending.
Fast Draw: That's a pretty neat set-up. |
