Yeah, that's FoV's main problem, the rehashing.

paulpratt,
The thing about 1:18 scale is that all 5 of the brands (21C, BBi, AT, FOV, and Peguses Hobbies) can break easily. BBi and FOV may be molded out of stronger plastic (that is why they have less detail), but the weapons, blades, drop tanks, missiles and bombs can be lost easily and broken just as easily. None of them are for children. Especially, since they are suited for more for adults. They are models more so than toys. You can not play with your Apache the same way that you can play with the G.I. Joe Night Attack Chopper. It is the parents fault for not being an aware buyer and giving their kids a model rather than a toy. Common sense would tell you if the toy is durable from the way that it looks from inside a package regardless if the brand has Toy or Toys in their name. If you give a kid a model train set as a toy, you should teach them how to be responsible with it and not to put it in the dirt, water, etc... Also, I remember getting a G.I. Joe Tomahawk for Christmas when it had came out. I dropped it accidentally and the aft rotor broke off. I was upset, but my parents did not complain to the store or to Hasbro about it. They said that I should be more careful with it. With militaria toys in general, a parent should teach their kids respect and how to handle the product. Spend time with them on the toy and show them how to take care of it. My 3 year old respects my action figures and collectibles. They are not toys, btw. Hasbro made plenty of vehicles with easily lost and broken parts as well. I haven;t done a crash test, but i imagine the NAC would hold up better than the Tomahawk did.
As much as i liked them there 21st really had no business at Walmart. |

Can someone post that prototype pic of the A-10 here? Might as well send everyone to the bathroom.

Thankfully they were though because we would have never gotten the AH-1, M113, M41, M48 and many others as Wal-Mart dictated that they wanted those from a choice list that 21C gave them. That is why many vehicles and helos/planes were packaged in Motorworks packaging at first for Wal-Mart under the 21C brand.

This is 21C's version of the long canceled (Hiatus) 1:18 A-10. Also, this should have been made as well: Last edited by Starfighter; 03-31-2009 at 05:48 PM.. |

Unfortunately Wally World's distribution made some of them hard to find. |

Right, you are just like myself in that regard. My son, who is 7 has a lot of XD and I've shown him the proper way to take care of it. He respects it, so in return he gets a wonderful toy to play with. His XD doesn't just sit on the shelf, he is playing with them.
But that is because you and I came at the problem backwards. We were interested and, in turn, made our children fear the wrath of God because these things were expensive. But we came first, for most it's the other way around. Well i had a long drawn out story, but frak it... i'm sick of typing. It's not worth discussing anyway. It's done. But, it wasn't wal-mart's fault. They are just putting a product there. People are either interested or they are not, if they aren't, everyone looses out including wal-mart. 21st century just lost extra hard. They overestimated demand for a product. 21st had no business being in a place where people leave frozen chicken in the pillow aisle to thaw or where you can go to get dog food and a television.

Thank Tk, that's the one. I'll post the link to Jason's explanation for those of you who have not read it:
