Greetings, Tankers.
It's late this evening, but I thought I might share an interesting advertisement I found on Youtube. It's for the Rambo Force of Freedom action figure line from Coleco. While I realize that these toys are not compatible with GI Joe, I did enjoy the way the toys are presented in the advertising. I also enjoyed the music from the film. Anyway, here is a nice video featuring the helicopter, assault vehicle and SAVAGE headquarters. Thought any fans of the 1980s might enjoy this. PS... The cartoon show is on DVD, and it is awesome!!!!!!! |

Bravestarr. That was awesome! Thanks for posting that. I had the Rambo (Sans Shirt) and Trautman. Brings back the memories.

The advertising back in the 80s may have been a little misleading, but it is inspiring to make me want to go into the backyard, dig some foxholes and plant fireworks. The smoke effects in the ad were awesome. Note the helicopter cuts right through it for a close up shot. |

Some people say, "How come my DVD only has 2 episodes on it?" Well, for some strange reason the menu screen will only let you select between 2 episodes on the disc. However, if you hit the "Play All" feature, then all 11 episodes on the disc will play in sequence. I usually put a Rambo disc on in the background while de-packaging GI Joe figures or vehicles. PS... The show rocks because Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime) and Frank Welker (Megatron) are regular voices on the Rambo show. Try this link: Amazon.com: rambo animated |

You had 2 Rambo figures, but no COL Trautman??? Dude!!! Rambo can't back himself up, can he? Black Dragon was awesome on the show. The show's confrontation between Black Dragon and White Dragon played into the unfortunate theme of family disputes. Rambo recognized how hard it must be to fight your own brother, but he values the service and friendship of White Dragon. Great show! |

I had the Japanese guy whose arm popped up with a switchblade in his hand. He also did a full force kick when you pushed a button on his back. |
