What was his reply?
The style for animated is not my what I'd prefer, but I do like the storyline in the cartoon, and though I'd much rather have OVA style anime designs for the robots, I like the animated toys a lot because they showed that Hasbro could do what Mattel couldn't:make animated style figures and give them full articulation. The cartoon is not up there with Beast Wars, but it's the best written series since. Kept trying to sell me on it as it's his baby. I just told him to watch the girls on stage. I have to agree ith you on the story. When I am able to look past the animation (which drives me nuts) I really dig the story lines. Definitely a step above most cartoons these days.

I know which one you need. I recently grabbed this toy and wanted to share its pure and holy awesomeness with everyone so I posted a review on my blog, go check it out and leave a comment! Thanks Tankers!
GIJoe Toy Blog I have a suggestion for you, try ANY other Transformers line for the real figures. Give Universe a shot. Cybertron! The movie line! G1! G2! Anything is better than that Animated garbage. |

Hmm...kinda weird that a GI Joer fan never bought a Transformers and vice versa. I thought they went hand in hand.

CHICKS FTW!!!!!!!!!!!! Reminds me of that scene in Iron Man when Rhodey is being all serious on the plane, and Tony decides to get the drinks on with women dancing around them. AWESOME.
Despite your reservations on the style of the toy line, the Animated toys are well made Transformers. The worst of the Animated line(which could be voyager Prime...surprisingly) is better than the worst of the Movie line(which is either Swindle or Jazz). I say this not style wise, but toy wise.

Anyways I think he is a fantastic toy. Im not sure why I never got into it as a kid but I didnt. I did buy some beast wars but other than that I never had much. I think if people like me who didnt have a preconception for what a transformer should be bought this toy they would be very pleased. I understand that the animated stuff isnt "true to the original" but I could care less. I just like good toys and I think he qualifys and I am pretty hard to impress.

After reading the first post, yes I picked up Prowl and Oil Slick then started picking up the TFA figures when Wal-mart dropped them down to 7.77 so now I have Ratchet, Lockdown (my favorite) Black Arachnia, Slag, Jazz, Soundwave and then got Bumblebee with the Walmart three pack. I wish I hadn't the Premium movie BB is awful...I've never owned a toy that sucks and blows. I'm waiting for my basement to collapse in on itself because of it. Otherwise Arcee has joined Prowl and the rest of the TFAs. Now i just gotta pick up Swoop and Grimlock for my Dinobot love.
