I'm really digging the Power Team Elite stuff! I picked up the "Military Buggy" several months back and I like it better than the Awe Striker. Thanks to Hiss tank I got the heads up about Big Lot's latest shipments. Today I scored the Army version of the Little Bird for only $12 bucks and change, the SAS and Navy SEAL team sets. Also bought a SWAT $3.50 figure set with some wall sections. I was hoping for a humvee but there was none to be had. Thanks fellow Hiss tankers!

I really like the PTE stuff but i read something on the package that has me a little concerned now granted i don't plan to eat them but....
Not to bring up the lead scare again, but has anyone noticed the lead disclaimer on the packages that says: Warning: Conatins Lead Maybe harmful if eaten or chewed May generate dust containing lead I see it on the swat package and the FAV package I haven't checked the others yet. Also it doesn't specify if it the ink on the package, or the toys, or the twist-ties inside the package. Has anyone done a lead test on the toys? I assume there safe as these are on the self after the new lead law was passed.

Ok just found this on the other PTE thread make me feel a little better that it's just California state paranoia not is disrespect any Californians here .....just your laws

I kinda jumped the gun on the lead paint issue. I emailed Big Lots corporate about the Lead paint issue and got the following response:
Thank you for contacting Big Lots. This particular label you are referring to is only intended for use on product in the state of California. This is required to comply with their disclosure laws (Prop. 65). The label was not intended to be used on products outside of CA and should have been removed. Any lead contained within this product is well within acceptable levels according to Federal Law and it also passes the stringent Consumer Product Safety Commission guidelines. Please let us know if you have any further questions. Big Lots Customer Care So it doesn't look like this is a big deal, just a CA legislative thing. Thought I'd let you all know

i am interested to see how much levels of lead are in the toys though, but i don't have a digital tester.. fishing equipment have a lead warning too, like plastic worms, and they say don't put your fingers in your mouth or eat anything after touching the product unless you wash your hands.. i almost quit fishing after reading that one day.. I have the PTE little bird chopper and the combat tank, both sweet vehicles and a part of a line that for me, dominate any recent joe releases in the past several years (as far as vehicles are concerned.) I was pleasantly surprised by the figures as well. While not the best by far, they fit in well with my o-ring collection and the accessories are sweet.
I have heard that the True Heroes stuff, particularly the blackhawk, doesn't work well with the 25th-style figures. Do o-ring figures fit in it alright as they are easily a head or more shorter? I was thinking of picking that up as well as the seal boat with the tru buy-on-get-second-1/2 off. Do they both work well with o-ring figures? |

Big Lots keeps restocking until Xmas. However you can never tell when they get certain items in. I asked if they knew when their next restock is. They told me the warehouse just sends stuff. They don't order anything they just get what they get.

I'm working on a BBI Blackhawk conversion to Gi Joe Tomahawk and needed some help.
The propellers on the BBI Blackhawk are a little too long for what I want to do and was wondering if the power team blackhawks propellers were much shorter. Since I'm building a new body that will utillize a two propellor system, I need to replace the BBI originals with shorter ones. |
