I might've bought that argument back in the day but modern Hasbro stuff isn't all that great. Seems like nowadays they're content to throw a couple of rocket launchers on a vehicle (any vehicle) and call it a day. Or even if they do give us an original design its crap- Mole Pod, Mantis, Ice Cutter......
On a side note the True Heros stuff is a lot tougher but the detail isnt there

The pte toys are by no means fragile though. The wing pegs on my 1st F/A-18 broke but that's because it was on my bed, fell asleep, forgot it was there, and accidentally rolled over it.

They get a bad rap from me, I bought one of their Humvees and had it sighting on me desk, damn thing decided to roll off ( mky bad I forgot to chock the wheels) and took a nose dive to the floor to the end result of broken wheel supports a cracked windshield and front end. I havent had anything break from Hasbro since...the Sgt Savage Grizzly came out, that thing wouldnt stop breaking.

crappy vehicle designs agreed but you cant argue the quality..I mean PTE is still using lead based paint not color injected molds and their plastic quality is a bit tougher than a model kit. Go ahead and drop kick that Apache and the Dragonhawk from ROC and see whats still in one piece. I dont like everything Hasbro has produced but they havent made anything 'cheap' in the durability department and quality control in a long time.

i guess i'm more willing to sacrifice a little detail for realism and practicality. I like that their stuff is all pretty much in scale with each other too. My biggest complaint about the Dragonhawk is the size. Not saying they needed to make it as big as the Dragonfly but that thing is really out of scale.

It was got on sale along with 20% plus another 15% .So paid for a little more over $20 for it.
I still need that bridge set, and I wouldn't mind picking up a couple more bombed out buildings sets if saw any.

I've perused 20 or 30 pages of this thread, but on our slow internet I'm gonna go crazy if I keep it up, so...
Does anyone have any good photos of the True Heroes Soldier Force Rocket Hauler Playset loose and/or customized? I thought about getting it at TRU last summer, and if it's still there in July I may do so. |

I walked into a toy store on an island in the Scottish highlands yesterday, and they had a mountain of the World peacekeepers stuff. Two A-10's, two SU-27s and about five of the Black hawk choppers.
Imagine looking for that stuff, and it's all squirrelled away in the highlands! |
