Anybody have the inside scoop on when this stuff is coming out and who is in the first wave? Plus what is the deal with the 3 3/4" DC INFINITE HEROES? Talk about peg warmers.....these guys are giving Indy a run for his money.

I'd like to know too. Saw a pic of them and some of them are just bad as hell.
Thor, Wolverine, Colossus...must haves for me. Hope they do a Beast too. Bought a Shazaam last week. The rest hanging on the pegs just didn't interest me. If they would do a Firestorm, Cyborg, Red Tornado and Green Arrow, i'd get them. Just don't get it about Batman, Wonder Woman, Robin and Aquaman. I'm glad they are doing them in this scale. Sab |

I don't know when the Marvel stuff is coming out, but I hope it's better than the DC Infinite Heroes. I REALLY wanted to like them, because I love the idea of a 3 3/4 super hero line, but they dropped the ball. I know they want to keep costs down, but really. There is no excuse this day and age to release action figures with that kind of "slightly better than 80's-era Kenner" articulation. That's what spoiled them for me. Yeah, up here, they're keeping the pegs nice and toasty. Except for Black Adam.

First wave should hit in spring, and consists of Iron Man, Spiderman, Hulk, X Force Wolverine, et al, pics are on the front page with the SDCC news coverage from summer. Mail away figure is Nick Fury. The lineup is tied in closely with current Marvel storylines, so don't be surprised to see Skrulls eventually. I hope we see the Warbound and Skaar from the recent Hulk storylines. Battle packs are a given too, that's Hasbro's answer when asked recently in a q/a.
DC Infinite Heroes have a great scale but are lacking compared to Hasbro's Marvel offerings. More articulation will be added next year. The turnarounds of Jim Lee/Wildstorm's concept art for the upcoming PS3 DC MMORPG seem to be the basis of the Infinite Heroes figures. Don't be surprised if you see a big tie in with the launch of the game. Even the costumes are the same! Not sure if the offerings for DCIH next year will rival Marvel's....Marvel Universe looks awesome. |

So wait, these *the DC ones* are out?
the only ones I want are the Green Arrow/Black Canary/Hal jordan set. Now going by what i've read here, it sounds like they kind of suck, and that the marvel ones are going to be hordes better. Kinda like bizarro 1985. Instead of Super Powers kicking Secret War tail, it's reversed.

That's about the gist of it. However, I had picked up Captain Marvel when I first saw the DC line and finally broke down and opened him after my daughter and I watched his appearance on Justice League last night. His fists are goofy, but he's not a bad figure. I just wish he fit in either with the other JL figures, or my old Super Powers collection.
