Did anybody else pick-up any of these blind-boxed little trash-themed toys?
A kind of cross between Gogo's Crazy Bones with the Garbage Pail Kids humour, they're soft, squishy little figures that come in trash can packages. They sound great but I have to say I'm hugely disappointed with just how bland and uninspired they are. I just got through Reviewing them here: That Figures: REVIEW: The Trash Pack Trashies Two Figure Pack

When I first heard about these I was really excited....however, while waiting for these to drop I found something better (and cheaper)
Freaky Geeks The sculpts seemed cooler and the figures were 50 cents each in a vending machine rather than $2-$3 for a two pack Here's all the variations of the figures Knuckles Spike Stinky Herbert Go-Go Cy-Fy Ollie Skizzo |

Freaky Geeks are awesome - when you get the fully painted ones!
I have a few and although I wasn't initially impressed (my first was an unpainted Knuckles) I snagged a few more and they're a lot of fun. It's too bad the Publix I used to get them from no longer has the vending machine... If you check my site (below) you'll find a few in my Cool Capsules feature.

You know what are neat? Pillow pets, they're a pillow and a pet...
My youngest cousin is into those Squinkies things. I figured these would just be the boy equivalent until I saw that Squinkies had a Marvel line too. I should get her some of those next time she wants me to play with her. If I've gotta sit through a tiny cupcake party then Doom and the Hulk can suffer with me. Well, if nothing else, you got a neat trash can out of the deal. Slap some paint on it and put it in a odd corner of the Terrordrome for Cobra Commander to stumble over as he makes his rounds. Edit: And the Trash Bag Bunch were cool... with the bag that turned into sludge. I remember I got one that looked a lot like the second version of Mercer. Yeah, that's what I'm seeing in the toy aisles... Amazing that last year those things were in the discount section of Wal-Mart for two bucks a go and now they want, what, eight, nine bucks for them?
