I'll be there.
I'm interested in how much of the Joe2 stuff will be shown. Toy Fair is for retailers, so it would be the perfect place to highlight the offerings in hopes of undoing some of the RoC bad vibes. But how much will Hasbro, knowing that the images get out, want to show the designs prior to the first look at a movie trailer? The studio might want to keep most of it underwraps. It'll be interesting.

A GI Joe 2 trailer should be out before Toy Fair, so I don't think they'll be holding too much back at TF. Besides, the toyline probably launches in late April/early May. If so, we'll probably see leaks from overseas sources around TF time. Hasbro would be smart to just reveal the line publicly at TF, so they can control the reveal.
I heard that the GI Joe 2 line will be scaled back in relation to ROC. Hopefully, we get plenty of figures, though. I can see them keeping the line more focused and losing all the peripheral crap like Nerf product. I highly doubt we'll get a $100 vehicle but will we get a $40 one? I think we'll get some Alpha and Bravo vehicles. And at least 3-4 waves of figures. Will the line launch with 2 waves immediately? I'm really curious to see what they have planned. While I'm interested in the Avengers line, I have concerns. I know the 4" movie figs are lacking torso articulation. If the comic-based stuff is as well, I'll probably skip most of the line. I am intrigued about the Quinjet, though. Overall, I'm more curious to see what else the main MU line has to offer. Especially in 2packs and team packs. We already know a good deal of the spring releases, but it'll be interesting to see who else fills out the Blastaar wave. Star Wars seems to be focusing on Episode 1 which I have no interest in. |
