does anyone here collect these? i found a few figs at this odd store in the mall today and never notcied them before, they actually are very cool, they come on trays and you build them, kind of like a model. i want to know more about them, like how many there are specifically and was hoping someone could give me a website with a archive or something like that to help further my interest into these. thanks.

These were from a few years back? I had a white and red one, had a gatling gun on one arm and I think a flip out sword on the other. Im not really into that stuff but he looked cool and it was a fun little project. Always wished I got more.

i bought tons of these when they were all over the place a few years ago. got a bunch on clearance at wal mart back when they had a model section. the actual action figures were cool, too.
most of what i got were the lower end models, they range from pretty cheap and simple to very expensive and complex. i usually deviated from the recommended color schemes, spray painting while they were still on the splines and brush painting the smaller stuff. i always used enamels for the brush painting, not sure how acrylics would work. |

The kits come in several scales, the most popular being HGUC(High Grade Universal Century) or HG(High Grade) 1/144 scale(Century denotes continuity), there are some HG in 1/100, and MG(Master Grade) which basicallyhas internal frames, then PG(Perfect Grade) in 1/60.
There are also figures, the biggest series was MSiA!(Mobile Suit in Action!) which was sold here starting with Gundam Wing. Now the big series is Robot Damashii SIDE MS but they are pricey, $30+ per figure. This is the main Gundam action figure line. Bbts.com has some. |

I collected the MSiA back when those were still available. My entire collection is in storage right now, but off the top of my head I have a few from each series except Zeta and three or four Extended MSiA.
I miss them. Much more affordable and just felt more solid than the Robot Damashii they have now. Quote:

Jesus, they killed off the Gundam line here years ago and they STILL have Gundam Official up?!
I haven't been there since they killed GOUF (Gundam Official User Forums).

i collected the actual action figures (on cards) up until Gundam Seed. (Those Seed figures went on clearance and disappeared really fast here.)
i never had the patience for the models and the action figures weren't so bad. the G Gundams were a bit hokey. i still have most of these figures in one piece. i just loved the idea of ball sockets that were so easy to put back in place and didn't break.
