I've seen this posted on rebelscum, Galactic Hunter, Yakface, & Theforce.net , so I can say it must be pretty accurate. Most of those sites don't post front page news unless it's been verified by the site admins.

I would be willing to bet that these will be produced for quite some time. The tooling was most likely very expensive and Hasbro will want to make their money back on this. I'm sure it will be released over and over again. It would make no sense whatsoever for them to put all those resources towards a vehicle this large and then quit production on it.

Would you mind taking a few more shots comparing the scale of the Spider Droid to Joes and vehicles? I keep debating it, but I had no idea how big it might be out of the box.

I'll try to get some more photos tomorrow with some GI Joe figures standing around it.

However, I can assure you that, for $20, this is one of the best toy deals you are going to get. This thing is much bigger than it looks inside the box, and the orb in the center is actually big enough to fit one Battle Droid action figure inside (I'll see how it does with a Cobra figure).

EDIT: I placed a Tele-Viper in there and he fits perfectly. This is an awesome toy!

SW $20 vehicles are $16.97 this week at Target. The AT-TE is $89.97 this week.

Wasn't marked with a sale sign and new price, so probably still $149.99.

Just in time to army build the Millenium Falcon and AT-TEs. I just have one question, why didn't they release an AT-AT?

Maybe, but the AT-AT has only popped up twice in the past 10 years. These two big bad boys sold okay in my area when they first hit the shelf. Now, I wouldn't say they are peg warming, but they ain't hard to find. I still think they will be big Christmas presents this year.....saw a mom with the Falcon and AT-TE in her cart at TRU a few days ago......some lucky fellow is gonna have a nice X-Mas (or B-day).....anyway you look at it both are a bit pricey.....It's not a spur of the moment buy if you know what I mean. I think Hasbro is testing the waters with these releases. If they sell in acceptable numbers it opens up the possibility of getting some bigger Joe sets down the line (fingers crossed on a WHALE or PITT)
