I've always regretted all the Spawn figures I bought as a kid. Could have put that money towards more X-Men and Spider-Man figures that didn't suck.
also because i was a pretty stupid kid who got sucked in by crazy gimmicks Food Fighters, Hook, and Exo Squad. |

I got a couple of these one time for Christmas from a relative. I was too old for them, but would still think they're stupid at any age.
Sectaurs : Warriors of Symbion, Toys / Action Figures of the 80s

DUDE!!! I loved Madballs! I think I had almost the whole line. I know between me and my cousin we had them all. Played with them until they were thrashed. I am not joking when I say I have a modified Madball tattooed on my shoulder. I think I had just about every toylisted on this list to be honest. Loved MUSCLES and Monster In My Pocket, had Sectaurs which I admit were pretty weak. Centurions, MASK, so many. Funny because there was this one line of toys I can barely remember, that I thought was awesome when I was a kid, but now cant for the life of me think of the name of. I remember it came with these mini glow sticks that you put inside the figures chests so they would glow. To be honest I know a lot of these might not hold up, but it still seems better than a bunch of the toys that kids have now. |

Sectaurs : Warriors of Symbion, Toys / Action Figures of the 80s The furry spiders substituted for Cobra-La creatures when I was a child. They were basically Masters of the Universe re-invented as bug people. I didn't know 'til I was an adult there actually had been a cartoon series: Arthur Burghardt recycled Destro for General Spidrax.

Mighty Max and Branyard Commandos.
Mighty Max was a scale unto itself and thus provided no cross play. Not to mention how quickly I lost that stuff among my 5" scale figures - the bottom corners of toychests were the graveyard for Mighty Max figures. With Barnyard Commandos I got one as a secret santa present and then people just started getting them for me. I had a bunch but they were pretty pointless. I think at one point I had them as Beebop and Rocksteady's thugs against the Ninja Turtles, but they went away pretty quickly.

I don't think I ever "collected" a bad toy line, meaning I don't have an extensive collection of crappy toys...but I do have some stuff from the 80's and early 90's that by today's standards are crappy...and I love them.
All the Toy Biz Marvel stuff, Swamp Thing, Robocop...etc etc. Not great toys but I totally love what I have. |
