yeah, a huge stampede at midnight for the first release of new figures, and scalpers taking everything and people getting angry. Thats the most elaborate lie i have ever heard.

I worked at my store for Phantom when we did the midinight gimmick, we are low volume so we don't do it anymore. In my area Cherry Hill and Deptford have that covered . We get the trickle down from ppl that just show up in the morning. The Phantom event was cool because I was being a dick to the scalpers and giving all the collectors the good cases to pick from and had the beat cases all ready to roll for the flea market crowd. I think Maul was the one ppl were clammering for at the time. It was a 10 to 1 collector to scalper ratio so for once the collectors were bullying the dealers .

Do you think these 1st Day Issue figures are going to be worth anything? I went into my Wal-Mart this morning and there was a slimy old dude that looked like Jabba the Hut throwing Star Wars figures in his cart (he later got the only Millennium Falcon at Target as well). I had to go back to Wal-Mart later today and they had completely restocked with several of the 1st Day Issue figures. Didn't know if I needed to jump on these or not. I purchased a Yoda just cuz I though he looked cool!

nahhhm look at ebay, noone is buying them. Star Wars kinda sucks now because they havent come out with anything new in 10 years

LOL On my hunt for anything Joe related (or Hulk Marvel Legends) today....
This morning I walked into the nearby 24-hour Wal-Mart. They had a whole shelf of those Millenium Falcons and two huge floor displays of the Star Wars figures and vehicles. Nothing at all was touched. Sadly no new Joes either even though they redid their toy aisle. T_T

Then this guy at the Target nearby was waiting outside for it to open when I arrived and rushed to get to the figure aisle. I think he was looking for the Millenium Falcon which they did not have despite having everything else and must have thought I was some kind of competition despite my looking over the Joe section.
I say that he must have thought I was competition cause he left the store the same time I did, jumped quickly into his car and took off as I was going to head to the next closest Target. Hell, the dude cut me off on a turn towards the street the get ahead of me when I happened to get on a part of road that passed him. O_o
I was laughing at the whole experience cause if he was thinking I gave a rat's ass about anything Star Wars he was wrong. Dude was again quickly looking through the Star Wars section when I got down the aisle for again, G.I.Joe related stuff. Of course, this Target hadn't even stocked any Star Wars stuff yet. XD

I could have helped him by mentioning the Wal-Mart if he wanted to find the Millenium Falcon that badly given they had a whole shelf full, but...well, let's just say I felt like being an ass back towards the guy after cutting me off for a stupid $150 vehicle I have no desire or room for.

man it was just nuts last night and what ppl were doing was so wrong freaking scalpers man i feel so bad for the ppl who brought there kids there and couldn't find what they wanted as the fing scalpers were pilling shit in to carts. there was one couple that had 2 carts full of shit and then went through it and picked what they wanted . the limit was 12 per guess it was way to much. it should of been like 6 per.
