Diamond made some so-so figures. But a real toy line? Why? No interest? Licensing too much? Was the show too dark and murky for toy line.

Because not every property needs a toy line.

I thought the Diamond Delect figures were pretty good. I've got 3 Cylons who are a constant source of grief for He-Man and his pals.

Live-Action TV shows generally don't get full-fledged toylines. That's normally reserved for theatrical movies and cartoons. If I had several million dollars I'd shop around and scoop up toy rights to a bunch of old Sci-Fi properties that either never had proper toys or could do with some major updating and combine them into a single Joe/Star Wars-scale "Science Fiction Classics" line. Release them in "themed" waves accompanied with a single vehicle that's as close to in-scale as feasible. Just imagine: Wave 1: The Last Starfighter Alex Rogan, Starfighter Grig, Navigator Centauri with swappable heads Zando-Zan Xur Ko-Dan Warrior Vehicle: Gunstar Fighter Wave 2: Battlestar Galactica (Modern) Cylon Centurion Admiral Adama Captain Apollo (Flightsuit) Starbuck (Flightsuit) Number 7 Gaius Baltar vehicle: Viper Mk. II Wave 3: Babylon 5 Captain John Sheridan (50/50 Earthforce and "Independent Babylon 5" uniform) Commander Susan Ivanova (Same as above) Ambassador G'Kar Ambassador Londo Mollari Ambassador Delenn (With swappable "pre and post Chrysalis" heads) Commander Jeffrey Sinclair (Earthforce) Vehicle: Starfury Fighter Etc... Etc... (You could return to prior themes over time to "fill out" the collections and add more vehicles) Yeah, I know it's a complete and utter pipe-dream and would be about as completely a "collector's line" as could ever be imagined...but like I said...if I had several million dollars to blow.... I've wanted a GI Joe/Star Wars size Viper and Cylon Raider since the original series. The Mark VII Vipers and Raptors from the new series would just be that much more awesome to add to it. I like the idea of a Gunstar too.
