I have no interest in the Thor or Captain America toys, but would have bought the hell out of this line. What gives?

Not enough lead time for Hasbro, because the movie was rushed through production. That is the official story i think.

Didn't they put 'first class on the Cyclops/Jean comic pack repaint? And maybe that wolverine/sabertooth one ? Hopefully if the movie does well they'll throw some together.

I'd also have to say I think the last wave of toys from Wolverine Origins also was a pretty big flop (hell actually I can't recall any of the X-Men movie toys ever really moving super fast at retail), so I wouldn't be suprised to see things played a little closer to the vest...it will be easier to release movie 'style' figures through the Marvel Universe line later if warrented.
This way if one goes over well in a wave maybe they'll make more. That's just my theory. |

The XMO were drasticly overpriced ($9 each wre the cheapest I saw them, once they went on clearence they flew off the shelves in no time flat), repetitive (I mean how many wolvie's did the line need) and like all movie lines for marvel since Hasbro took over, the most desireable figures were impossible to find (Colossus, Gambit, ect).
Personally I think the reason we aren't seeing them is because Hasbro didn't want to expand the line out that far. Supposidly IM2 was just as rushed but Hasbro managed to have marks V and VI in the first wave for example. But at the moment, I think Hasbro has all it's eggs in the Avengers movie basket (which isn't nessessarly a bad thing cause Avengers have been ignored in this scale over the years). |

Given Hasbro record on movie toy lines,I think the case pack out for XFC would've been
2x Professor X 1x Cyclops 1x Magneto 8x Wolverine Is he even in this movie??? No Banhsee,Mystique,no Emma .Sounds about right.

This movie is going to suck hard. Please don't give Fox your money. Please. I don't think Marvel has seen enough success in marketting from the Fox films either. They piss off the demographic who enjoyed the Marvel studios productions the most....comic book fans. The movies do well, people settle, then the bitch, then they settle again. Ignore continuity all you want...but don't ignore the continuity you already set Mr. Singer. a;dslfa;djfk;alkdjfg;alkgj;lkj
We need Fox to loose the rights ASAP. They will at least sell them if they stop making money. Unfortunately Deadpool could turn out to be a gold mine for them.

To me the movie looks like this.......They are showing the action scenes in the trailer--all of them. The rest will be all talking all dramatic like.
