I've been tempted to pick up the three box sets that they sell at the Disney Store for my 3 year old who loves Cars.
I noticed that the cars there are bigger than the cars sold everywhere else. What's up with that? They have a set with nothing but race cars, one with I think everyone from the first movie, and Cars 2 set. |

Walmart had 4 full cardboard display trays on a shelf. I noticed Walmart had Professor Z and Race Team Fillmore while TRU did not. And, while they had plenty these characters seemed fewer compared to the main characters. |

I'm tempted to buy the light up Lightning McQueen and Finn McMissile I figured I rather spend some cash on a line that I loved as a kid 'cuz I watched the first cars movie when I was A little boy, I'm 17 now rather than Transformers 3 toys that'll hit clearance evntually

When I was at TRU today I saw a line called RideMakerz and feature extra large vehicles with modular parts to customize. Some sets come with various accessories, or you can buy just certain accessories. From what I read you can add light and sound features as well as an R/C function. (edit: there is a base version that has R/C to which you can customize) I think this is a pretty cool idea, but the extra large size is actually a turn off for me. Still I may get 1 as I think the metallic paint job is really cool.
He's a cool article with some pics Ridemakerz and Toys “R” Us let you customize the Cars 2 gang - AutoWeek Disney Pixar Cars 2 World Grand Prix Lightning McQueen Custom Kit - RIDEMAKERZ - Toys "R" Us I picked up the tru 5 packs for $15.99 while they were on sale-just 2 out of the 3 sets to get the new characters mostly, found Grem and Acer--Acer is htf, you see him, snatch him up. One to a case I heard. Ridemakerz is just brilliant, shiny metal and chrome and lots of accessories to change up your car as well as sticker sheets...absolutely brilliant. The Ridemakerz feel a bit light and hollow but the wheels are nice thick rubber and easy to pop on rims and change stuff out. Im actually really impressed. I would be more impressed if they would do a FABULOUS HUDSON HORNET/DIRT RACE TRACK HUDSON HORNET/DOC HUDSON plain. and of coarse a PIZZA PLANET TRUCK--I would buy them all. I was a bit stumped at the 4$ and change price tag, but I do love me some CARS and CARS 2. |

I also picked up an extra Lights and Sounds Sheriff to turn into a custom DOC HUDSON, if I get stickers to turn it into the Fabulous Hudson Hornet then that would be really cool. Unfortunately, its a bit on the shorter side, but to have a large DOC HUDSON, that would be insanely cool. Considering that the Sheriff is a Mercury body, that would be perfect also for RIDEMAKERZ.

Anybody remember those DISNEY CARS SUN SHADES with the Eyes? That would be cool to see again, Im kicking myself for not picking one up. I would love to see that when I go to the theater, the whole parking lot w/CARS eyes.

Just one other thing, I love the jet, I actually picked up Siddelly the spy jet and it is pretty cool. It was only 21$ but I love that its a cool jet. There was a custom AIRCRAFT CARRIER CARStoon with a bunch of MARCO Jets on top of it, Also there will be a Action Ship Playset, its the stealthy looking ship with a big flatbed on it, not sure what scale, but its a playset, so Im thinking it will be decent size. Looks like it has fold out doors on the side.
