I find it funny that (and I just noticed this) at Target, the Joes are more expensive than Star Wars... When the Joes came out, seems to me they were cheaper. And since they are a Hasbro house brand as opposed to a licensed property like Star Wars, I attributed that to the higher cost of Star Wars (as I collect those as well)
There are a bunch of toy lines out there that don't seem to ever move but are given much more toy aisle real estate... |

I'm really shocked that the vehicles don't sell.

My local (excuse for a) toy shop only ever seems to have TV/movie lines. Harry Potter, Speed Racer, Iron Man, Indy 4, Dr Who, Primeval and Star Wars is about it. Even Transformers have vanished since the movie faded from view.
But then everything here in Blighty is crap, not just our toy shops. At least the movie should put Joe toys back on the UK toy shelves, albeit briefly.

toy shelves are consumed with power rangers and that knock off obscure comic book character line they have at wally world, and even the ninja turtles,"which i love by the way" but i think the line has played out. that is a good twenty pegs that collect dust regularly yet the four pegs for joes are always empty. but this will never change because this is the way hasbro wants it, its good business it creates a buzz for the brand, it keeps collectors interested well after a particular wave is released. I think hasbro learned not to oversaturate during the spy troops and VvV era when they put tons of product out there that did not sell. what they don't know is it did not sell because alot of the figures were poorly designed, or just plain looked bad.

The Indy toys don't seem to sell as much as retailers are putting out. I couldn't imgagine it to sell better than the 25th Joes.

Nah, not shocked at this at all. Big summer blockbuster movie.....then GI Joe. Remember when Waves 1 and 2 came out last year and the aisles were choking on Pirates and Spider-Man on clearance?

Here's hoping the toy aisles get bombarded with Joe toys. I only want a few figs, especially SE, and I'll be damned if he turns into the line's Grievous or Maul. Remember those figure hunts? (Shudders)

I hope they continue to choke on the Indy toys. My Walmart has 2 endcaps plus a 4 sided pallet, and shelf space for them. I can't wait to see them go on clearance so I can scoop up the troop builders. Its been a month, and I don't think I have seen a single one sell yet.
