Unless they reissue the set, I don't think you'll have problems selling or trading them...assuming that guy ever sells them to you lol. Supposedly, at the Con they said they won't be reissuing this set. I guess you never 100% know anything with them until it is or isn't done though.
Just for you man. Should be getting my Red Alert and Sunstorm tomorrow. I'll get to have them on display for maybe a month before having to pack. Again. Last edited by Hellion42; 04-19-2013 at 02:17 PM.. |

Someone on this board is going to buy the Sideshow Baroness figure and replace her body with that one.

And then complain that the gear doesn't fit.
My Red Alert has a decent paint job! It is also from the Chinese market, meaning opened box, extra instructions, and stickers on the box. Now I'm just trying to clarify if this version was supposed to come with the coin or not. So it's pretty nice... not sure if it's $90 nice, as I've said from the beginning, but nice. I'm getting Prowl and 'Streak from HLJ for about half that, which I can live with easily. Sunstorm is pretty sweet. I picked up an extra stand from a guy on TFW so he's chilling with TC/11 on top of my Detolf. Some of the white paint apps were kind of runny and blotchy, but you can't really tell unless you're looking for it (which is the kind of thing I do). Just like my TC/11, the back panel that sits between the wings is super-tight, and I'm afraid I'm going to snap something pushing it into place. Last edited by Hellion42; 04-20-2013 at 03:19 PM.. |

Hicks, I need your take on this since you probably have 10 or 12 MP-11 based figures and I can't find enough clear shots on the net to say for sure. Are the screws on the hip joints supposed to be in the front? Because I saw that on Sunstrom and thought it was one of those factory oopsies. I checked my TC, same thing. Looks really weird since the screw holes show just below the armor plate, but the back is nicely greebled.
Also, I noticed there's a bit of silver paint on his forehead. I'm surprised I missed it on the first look-see. Is the head painted black, or polished plastic? Taking the silver off should be easy, but I'd rather not take any black paint with it. |

Uh... yes, I think all the MP-Seekers have the screw heads facing forward in the hips. They are, for the most part, covered by the "skirt".
As for the head, I suspect that like Takara's MP-Skywarp, it's a clear coat on black plastic. That said, depending on where it is, you might try rubbing your finger nail lightly over the errant paint and removing it that way. |

Thanks for the info dude. What I might end up doing is testing something on a small part on the back of the head, see if it attacks the clear coat or not. If it's a sealant as well a quick swipe of denatured alcohol shouldn't affect it much. Or I was thinking a small bit of black gloss over it. But all that will come later.
On a side note I bid on two Freestyle auctions tonight. Both ended within a couple of dollars of my max price, so I guess I'm not too far off in my valuation. Last edited by Hellion42; 04-22-2013 at 01:48 PM.. |
