Hah... I like the new not-Chromedome. The paint scheme does make him look like a chim, think I'm going to add some more red to him... Maybe the upper legs.

Now you know how I feel with all this transformers talk. The last time I bought one of those was in 1986.

A 3rd party made a Chromedome and it doesn't have ankle tilts due to the transformation and so many people on TFW raged out about it. I don't have the figure in-hand yet as it's in my PoL waiting for a few of the new TF Kre-o sets to come in. The feet are angled such that he appears pretty stable to me, but people have RAGED!!! Arghhh!!!! All Chromedome and no ankle tilts make a boy something something.

And by "chim", I meant "chimp". And I'm sure that there are commas I should've been using in all that. But, screw it, I'm an engineer on paper not a... ... ... writing... guy, I guess.
The shoulders on f[x]-Code are my onlt issue really. He can't do a lot with them despite them being ball joints, That and his head not being silver. But, yeah, great figure for the Headmaster fan. And Hardbone! Yes, you read that right, Hardbone. Third parties are really soaking up all my money now. Good thing I'm done with Joes. |

Why is he neon green? I'll stick with my 2 Headrobots upgraded Universe Ultra Hardheads.

*pregnant pause* With the prices on 'em they seem built for money-soaking. Quote:
I gave my 3-year-old nephew 8 or 10 JvC-era Joes for Christmas (the accessories went to my brother-in-law for doling out at the appropriate time). In short order they were getting repeatedly stomped on by a T-Rex half as tall as my nephew while he said, "Ow, ow, ow, ow," over and over in a conversational tone. Bash the T-crotch figures all you want, they were definitely built to withstand rough play. |

Fair enough.
The Toybiz LOTR line is what got me into this collecting business in the first place as an adult, I suppose, if we're not counting massive collections of toys as a kid as a reason. Still probably my favorite line of all time, though there are some noticeable gaps in my collection that are getting harder to fill. And an ex stole my rare Peter Jackson as a Hobbit figure years ago. Curses. |

Marvel Legends and the TF Alts/BTs got me into collecting.
That and the odd Lego kit. Speaking of Legos, I know Irid has to have a few of the LotR kits by now. |
