Official HISStank G.I.Joe vs. Cobra Game Designed by Pyroclasm 1. All site rules apply and will be enforced by HissTank.com Moderators. Official Forum & Sig Pic Rules *** READ ME*** 2. Game rules are enforced by the GM. The GM is the final arbiter concerning the game and how the game rules are interpreted. 3. Game format changes by scenario. To keep it interesting, individual game goals may change. 4. One turn per calendar day. A calendar day, for this game, will be from 5 AM Eastern - 4:59 AM Eastern. There is a buffer period of 2 hours before and after reset, in which a maximum of 3 players per team, per hour may post. Posts in excess of this limit will not count and will be considered "invalid". 5. Each team has a Leader, Co-Leader and Squad Leader. The Leader positions are not permanent and the person holding those positions may be changed (or not) between battles. 6. Teams may only start the battle within 5 players of each other. If at anytime a team has fewer players than the other, they will get "drones" to even it out. They may replace drones with new recruits. Drones are run by the GM team. Drones hurt for -1. Drones do not take orders. 7. There will be a break between battles to make necessary adjustments and stat updates. The duration of the break may vary depending on a variety of factors but will usually be between 4-7 days. 8. A player may not switch teams during a battle. A player may sign up to play for any team that will have them before the battle begins. 9. Players may be dropped at any time by a team leader or co-leader. Dropped players may not return to the game until the following battle. If a player wants to leave the game, they must make the request to their team leader via pm. The leader can then replace the player or take a drone. 10. Roster changes such as Adds, Drops or Replacements are posted by the Leader or Co-Leader in the game thread before 9pm eastern. The GM team will consider such requests. Unless denied, such requests take effect at reset. If a player is from the same household as another, then a motion to vote must be made via PM to Pyroclasm in advance of the request for the GM team to vote on the addition. 11. Players are expected to behave and treat each other with respect. Joking is fine, but personal attacks will not be tolerated. Each team's invite threads are for that team ONLY. Posting anything but a polite message in another team's thread will earn your team a cumulative -1 penalty for each instance. If the incident occurs during a game, the team may restore those points by dropping the offending player. It will be up to the team leaders to report any such trespasses to the GM. 12. The game thread is for player turns or miscellaneous GM posts. The team invite threads are solely for the owning team to use as they see fit. The R&C thread (this one) provides the base rules for the game. If you have a question, forward such questions to your team leader. They will forward unanswered questions to the GM for clarification. The General Discussion thread is for GM announcements. Last edited by Bamphalas; 06-02-2009 at 09:51 PM.. |

Gameplay Rules:
Players may choose one action according to their class once per day. (See #4 above.) Classes: Soldier: -1 Hurt Medic: +1 Heal Advanced Classes (Limit 3 of each per team unless otherwise noted in the description): Assassin: -1 Hurt, AIM (See Below) Combat Medic: +1 Heal or -1 Hurt Demolitionist: -1 Hurt, PERMANENT DAMAGE (See Below) Driver: -2 Hurt, VEHICLE DEPENDENT (See Below), Limit 1 per team vehicle Field Surgeon: +1 Heal, REVIVE (See Below) Leader: +2 Heal or -2 Hurt, Chosen at the start of battle, HERO DEPENDENT (See Below) MVP: +2 Heal or -2 Hurt, Chosen at the start of battle, HERO DEPENDENT (See Below), Limit 1 per team chosen by GM team Scout: -1 Hurt, MOVE (See Below) Hurt = The amount of "damage" the class may cause to an enemy or neutral target's hp. Heal = The amount of "repair" the class may bestow on a friendly or neutral target's hp. In cases where the amount for the action is more than needed, extra points are lost and not redirected. It is the player's responsibility to hurt/heal the correct target. Edits are allowed until an update is posted by Pyroclasm. If there is an invalid post the players will be notified once in the update immediately following their post. It will be the responsibility of the team leaders to notify the player of such issues. Unless specified in the class description, a class may not be changed during battle. Special Class Abilities: AIM: Instead of posting a hurt, the player may choose to post an "Aim" action. The "Aim" adds a -1 to the next hurt they post. Each "Aim" is cumulative allowing the assassin to save up their damage. For example, on the first turn the player's post may look like this: Cobra Assassin Aim 1 If the player chooses to hit on the second turn it may look like: Cobra Assassin Hurt Payload -2 Permanent Damage: Damage caused by this class reduces the Maximum HP of the target by the same amount. Vehicle Dependent: If the assigned vehicle is removed from play, this player's damage is reduced to -1 Hurt. Revive: The Field Surgeon may heal a KO'd character (no vehicles). They may post their heal on the KO'd character as if they were still active. The update will show the character as KO'd but with the additional HP. KO'd characters may not be attacked. Once the KO'd character has more than 1 HP, any Field Surgeon player may use their turn to post a "Revive" turn, putting the character back into play. A Revive post example looks like this: GI Joe Field Surgeon Revive Blizzard Hero Dependent: If the Hero Character is removed from play, this player's stat is reduced by 1. Move: Scenarios often will have Move Point (MP) goals. Each "Move" may add or subtract from the goal. A Move post example looks like this: GI Joe Scout Move +1 Last edited by Bamphalas; 06-03-2009 at 06:01 PM.. |

HP Caps:
Each troop type has a basic starting HP score. This score is also their HP cap. Their HP may not be raised higher than this cap. In some cases, a particular troop will start with less than what is normal for their type. In such cases, they may be raised up to meet the cap. An HP listing appears like this: Name: Current HP / Maximum HP Example: Tomax: 21 / 25 HP Typical HP Caps per Troop Type: Nameless Characters: 15 HP Named Characters: 25 HP Hero Characters: 40 HP Vehicles: 45 HP Last edited by Bamphalas; 06-03-2009 at 06:03 PM.. |

Daily Event:
Each day, a random event will occur. The event will occur anytime after 12pm eastern, but usually will occur in the evening. The event is randomized but predetermined. Some will be negative, others will be positive. Each morning, a GM Team member (currently Swafus) will post a trivia question for the day. This question will be posted sometime in the morning. The trivia will pertain to the scenario, characters, vehicles, etc. at hand. In order to participate in the contest, you may only post ONE answer at the end of your game post. The first team to get the correct answer will have the event work in their favor. For example, a negative event will hit the opposite team, while a beneficial one will help the team that got it right. Answers will be checked at the time the event will occur. Posts that have been edited or reposted, disqualify the answer. Be sure your game post is correct! In cases where both teams fail to answer the question in time, a negative event will affect them both and positive events just won't happen. Last edited by Bamphalas; 06-03-2009 at 09:42 AM.. |
