Ok everyone here is some information about the new game regarding class's, how people move up in class, and how past players will be rewarded. Keep in mind this is not official yet.
class 0/ or nothing = -2 or +2 = this is for new players, and a player who doesn't post there class will have there class be one of these ( this is so new players can get used to things and don't need to put in a class right off) class 1 = -3 class 2 = +3 class 3 = +4 or -4, then can choose 1 to use for the battle class4 = any combination of 5 + or - points at any turn in a battle. So for the first days turn one they could do +3, -2, they second days turn -5, then the third day -4, +1 etc.. So if a player is ranked class 4 and for there turn they only put "joe team -4 cobra commander, +1 duke" there turn will be -2 cobra commander because they didn't type there class MS = mission specialist class = this is rewarded to a player for each team for one battle only and further rewarded to another player and so on based on some sort of accomplishment that we can define. We can choose to have 1 or 2 MS classes available per team per battle The MS class hurt/ heal can be whatever we choose it to be. We can pretty much let every choose this if we want or tailor it to what ever we need. Before the first battle starts we can say the requirement and what the MS class will be for the next battle so that players can try to achieve this requirement. for example = for the first game we could say : the player with the most kills during the last game battle gets to use the MS class. Then we could choose one for the next battle, maybe the requirement would that it is rewarded to a new player who shows potential, then that in the next 6 days, which ever days they post there turn will count for 2 points in rank points rather than the default 1 (this would be based on the way to move up in class's based on points, with 1 point given for each daily post) Also on another matter regarding ranks - with a lot of player having put a lot of time in the current game they will not want to lose there rank. I want to reset everyone's rank back to zero's for the start of the game. but after this current game we take the stats from each team, rank each player active from 1 to end, then divide them into 3 equal groups. the first group will be the top 3rd players 2nd group the middle best players and the 3rd the least best we give the top 3rd players the ability to have there first 12 battle days count as 2 rank points per turn, rather than 1 point per turn so for example say the first battle last 6 days and a player from the upper third posts 5 of those days. then they have used 6 of there days and instead of having 5 points in rank(since they posted 5 out of the 6 days) they would have 10 points in rank, then when the next battle starts they get 6 more days of eligibility for doubling there rank points Now back to the 3 groups of players, the middle best gets 9 days of eligibility where there daily turns count as 2 points , and the lower third gets 6 days of daily turn counting as 2 rank points. After 12 days or about 2 battles we are done with that whole process, and everybody who actively played ( MIA players don't count) in the last game gets rewarded by a quick rank point upgrade/class if they come back and play. I could keep tabs on this and do the stats for the first 2 games, then pass them on to the communication officers ( teams communication officers could rotate between battles in doing the stats. (which would me monitored by the gi joe game communication leader, aka vadersquest as described above) The whole above process is based of the idea that players move up in rank by a point scale, and they get 1 point for each day they post in the game. Point scales for each class would still have to be worked out as described above. 1 point will be given to a player for each day they use there turn. Also I think to promote that there is a good ratio of more hurters than healers in this game, we should make a turn that involves a kill be 2 points( or 4 if it is during the process above of rewarding past game players). If we have a game of too many healers characters won't die. It happened in a few games back. Quote:

he basically PM's all the players to find out there intent on which team they want to be on, whether they want to be PM'd with reminder, or whether they want to not be bothered anymore. then he conducts potential drafts, trading players, and new joining players. I personally think having a draft prior to the first battle would be good because it gets everyone on what team they want to be on, and makes teams even. I will be talking to both team leaders and getting there thoughts on this. ATTENTION: To All Game Players I have talked it over with several Leaders from both Teams and have come to a decision regarding this issue. I feel that this is a tough decision to make and hope that both Teams can understand and accept my decision. It was decided that we use the HissTank Time as the Official Time in this Game. But I feel that due to the fact that the HissTank Time has been off by a few seconds since the upgrades that have happened to the forums that the 2 posts posted by Money-B and Viper48 should be counted. I feel that this is a Fair and Just decision and I truley hope that everybody can take the time to understand why I have made this decision. I would also like to congratulate the Cobras for making an impressive comeback and Winning a well fought battle. Make no mistake, I want to stay a Cobra (I don't want to wind up like Fred here!). However: I'm going to defect to the Joes if Bludd's hard work and great job is not recognized and acknowledged by Golob. Sorry man, but Bludd did a really great job, kept it fun, and he had a great attitude. We need players like him at the helm of the Cobra team.
