I enjoyed this issue. Obviously the art would be divisive for Joe fans, who are not necessarily fans of the broader comic book industry.

I appreciated the differing body weights of the various characters. That Night Creeper was a big boy. Sad that he was such a pushover, he should have easily given Jinx more of a real fight.

This was a better silent issue than the Beachhead one, but it did feel sparse.

The two main problems I had with it were the composition on the stairs page, and the bomb timer.

When the minigun was firing and she was ascending the stairs, that would have been a great page if the composition matched her motion. Instead her feet carry my eyes out of the first panel then into the third panel. After that the crossing of the bullet direction creates an X which stops my eyes entirely because my brain can't figure out where to go.

As previously mentioned the timer isn't realistic at all... the proper way to do this would have been to add the timer numbers after all the drawings were completed. Test-read it to an audience of ten people or a dozen, have them time their read-through speed. Then whatever the average of that it, that's how long to set the timer for. As it is, even if she's fast there's just no way any of this works. The siegies are standing around sweating and nervously cutting wires for what seems like a minute of real life reading time, but the timer only moves four seconds. On one of the final pages the timer says 00:02 and it is shown on THREE separate panels. But the siegies are doing a bunch of decision making and movements in between each of those panels, so, effectively the timer just isn't moving at all.

The art reminded me, a little, of Frank Miller and "Sin City". The simple color palette worked well, too.

Had to No-Prize some explanations for why certain things happened as they did. Especially the knock-out sequence, the timing, and even the wire-cutting.

Overall, it seemed like something that would run in the back of an Annual (or Yearbook) and not exactly worthy of a single comic.

I'm a big fan of Sin City and loved this issue. I can see the point of those who feel like the art didn't fit the normal joe, or the timer motif caught them, but those really worked for me. I loved seeing another art style and thought this turned out great.
