As far as the "Risk is snake eyes" thing goes, I find it unlikely. The EU loves surprises, but they have been very clear about how characters are going to be introduced. Spoilers for Void rivals coming, if you care. In the second Issue of void rivals, there was a scorpion like robot. A transformers fan wrote in to say if it was the Transformers character "Scorponok" Kirkman replied that, if they were going to introduce scorpinok, that there would be know question as to his identity. There was also a planet sized transformer shown in void rivals, and again, a fan wrote in to ask if it was Unicron. Kirkman responded with "That's not what unicron looks like". The main transformers series and so far all the G.i. Joe series have played by this rule. When snake eyes arrives, there will be no question.

They only FEEL each other's pain... they don't suffer the actual results. If one of them got shot, the other would feel it, but wouldn't actually have a bullet wound open in his flesh.
