The Sword of Life is an Energon-infused weapon that Cobra Commander wants, Storm Shadow is leading the Arashikage down a path of probable villainy, and Scarlett chooses to not get extracted and remain undercover inside the clan with Jinx. Ultimately, the series ends in a place where it's not directly tying in to G.I. Joe #1 but setting up plot points and characters for the long term.
Overall, Scarlett was my least favorite of the four origin miniseries, and it mostly comes down to the decompressed pacing. It just felt like very little actually happened over the course of the series, and this ending doesn't really do anything to change that. |

I don't think they stuck the landing, but I didn't hate it either. I agree, this series (and Duke) felt like they could have had a lot more depth. I feel like it took four issues to tell the heist story when it could have been one or two issues, expanding some character development for say... Snow Job.

Not bad, but not exciting, even w/3 of my favorite Joes (Stalker and Snow Job being the other two). But, for someone else's headcanon, it reminded me a lot of Jennifer Garner Alias w/o the disguises. Or soundtrack.

How did that teensy parachute save either of the girls? More of an open-ended segway than a conclusion.
I actually can't remember all the events which led to this point. I remember the first issue, and parts of the assault on this place. In the third issue Shana was accidentally drawn as a massive beefcake She-Hulk body type for a few panels, and I'm worried that will be my overall impression from this series. The romantic subtext is a discussion which probably won't ever be forgotten. I HATE the plugs and random piercings in her ears. Just why? Writer self-insert accessories? This issue was easily the best of the series in my opinion. Ultimately I was very sympathetic to Shana's motive for staying with the clan, and I can actually relate to it in a presently relative fashion from my personal life.
