In the last discussion thread, there was some speculation that the Cobra Commander in the battle armor was a mutant imposter based on how Pelletier drew his eyes. That turns out to have actually been half-right: he's not a mutant, but it's a Crimson Guard impersonator and not the real CC (fitting, given that suit's history).

It's still unclear what the deal is with the body in Mindbender's freezer. No one has outright called it Serpentor's body yet, so I guess there's still a little bit of room for this to be a misdirect.

I can't stop loving ARAH. Great issue with plenty of action. Beautifully illustrated by Pelletier/Kordos and another classic cover from Kubert.

I was the one who wondered about the true identity of Cobra Commander. I'm glad I was at least half right, though I think the eyes and skin still resemble a mutant more than a human CG. Meanwhile the real Cobra Commander is in his civvies--I never liked that look--so I think we've seen at least six versions of Cobra Commander since Skybound took over. Impressive, considering we're only nine issues in.

Agreed. I only ever want to see him in uniform. There's rarely a good reason for him to be seen in his civvies--him running an operation from his control room certainly isn't one of them.

They are right next door to Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton which would be good to keep an eye one, yet difficult to fly into and avoid their radar. I go through Springfield often and it really is turning into a ghost town. The local mall is abandoned and downtown is nearly deserted. They even closed the local White Castle in 2022. Now I know what is behind the shadows there.

When's the last time Cobra has terrorized anything in this series?
