After several issues of moving pieces into place for another big battle in Springfield, combat finally begins at the end of the issue, and Cobra Commander breaks out the Fred VII armor to defend the town.

However, I have no idea how Mindbender is supposed to have the original Serpentor's body frozen in his lab, considering that the original Serpentor was already recovered by Joe Colton and Jane, reanimated for the giant robot's control system, and blown up in the same explosion that killed Snake Eyes. Just doesn't seem to make much sense.

I'm really loving ARAH right now and 308 is no exception. Lots to like about this issue (spoilers):

> The "whole ninja team" of Snake Eyes, Scarlett, Storm Shadow, Jinx, and Dawn.

I noticed that the Baroness still has the Cobra insignia on her chest. She should either remove it or change it to MARS, shouldn't she?

Do editors no longer provide asterisk explanations for certain terms in comics these days? I had to look up both "Walang anima" and "Mufti." I feel like both of those could have had an editorial asterisk.

I haven't enjoyed ARAH this much since the Rod Whigham era. I feel like a ten year old whenever the next issue rolls out.

did anyone catch in the letters column where the editor made reference to how Cobra could maybe bring a "new ninja" into the fold? Dawn or Sean? One is in Springfield, one got left behind from the team. Hm...Cobra Sean may be the one thing that could add any interest to that character.

If Mindbender ("somehow") has the original Serpy's body, which was blown up with the original Snake-Eyes... is it possible that the now-talking SE isn't, in fact, a cloned body with brainwave scanner memories (and consciousness?) imprinted upon it? Did Mindy somehow recover both bodies (which is going to be a huuuge stretch of the imagination), and manage to reanimate, and repair, THE real Snake Eyes? Sigh.

I will give the team leevway that there is a plan here and that this body on ice with an arrow in his eye is not a mistake.

I would accept this. It would mean Cobra has a backdoor tunnel into the lower levels of the secret PIT under the PIT below all that concrete. It would also go along with that fan theory that Snake-Eyes and Serpentor could have been alive down there this whole time helping each other survive ala GiJoe #50's fallout. Whose theory was that? Was it AWOL's? Was it mine? Insert "you made this? I made this." meme.

OK, but then wouldn?t Snake-Eyes remember right up to his death? There?s been no acknowledgment of that if that?s the case.

You're not wrong. We may be about to see another complicated retcon or a continuity mess (potentially one in the same).
