I gotta say, I think this was my favorite Duke issue. Duke's been a bit iffy for me so far, not bad but I felt like not a whole lot happened, and I vastly preferred the CC comic. This I felt was a good mix of developing the story. Most importantly, I'm really glad to see Classified designs in fiction.
CC is still my favorite, hands down.

I just got around to reading this. I haven't really been enjoying the series so I wasn't in any rush. My feelings haven't changed. It just feels like fan fiction to me. Maybe if the art was better I could enjoy it more, but when weak art is paired with weak writing, I just can't get into it. Cobra Commander is more enjoyable because the artist is considerably stronger and I've always been a bigger fan of Cobra Commander and the Dreadnoks than the Joes.

Carl from Walking Dead says hello. I remember people having the same type of argument about how the damage would be, yet the line of where the bullet travels would damage the eye and some of the skull but could easily go around the brain. When I saw what happened to Bludd I just thought of Walking Dead (and since he HAS an eye patch, just not yet for the character) I knew that he survived.
As for these new titles (Duke, Cobra Commander, Void Rivals, Transformers) they are doing the story part really well. Artwork seems amateurish sometimes and I'm guessing that a more detailed artist would cost more. As long as the story continues to do well I'll continue reading. |

Also coincidentally ScottyHawkeye just posted Punisher art from Steve Dillon, co-creator of Preacher.
