So, after Skybound keeps hyping up this big betrayal that Dawn would supposedly fall victim to, the traitor turns out to be... no one, the advertising just lied.
Interesting news at the end: the reason Paul Pelletier is coming in as a guest artist for the next story arc is because Chris Mooneyham is busy working on another G.I. Joe project for Skybound that will be revealed this summer, and then Mooneyham will be back on ARAH once that's done. |

I wonder if the blurb was written before the story. We all know that Larry doesn't always know how a story will end until he gets there. He lets his characters do what they will. Kinda.

This issue did nothing for me, aside from the cool Cobra Commander cover.
Speaking of covers....next month's Snake Eyes cover looks SICK!! Nothing beats that iconic 1985 design. Doesn't need bells and whistles like extra straps and pouches. Really hope we get this in Classified sooner than later. |

Yes, the blurb is often written before the issue has been created so tends to be a general gist. At times at IDW the solicit info was very different to the issue as published.

"Dawn Moreno... Betrayed? Dawn Moreno is confronted by a shocking betrayal in Springfield, while her 'Joe allies discover that dead doesn't mean dead when it comes to Cobra's newest weapon. And what is Serpentor Khan's true plan?"
But also there is "betrayed?". We as the reader are meant to think that there is a chance that Dawn is being betrayed as her parents let the Cromson Guard into the house. |

Loved it. My initial thoughts:
> Visually stunning, though the story could be progressing a bit faster. > It would be nice to get Serpentor out of the command center at some point. > Nice reference to ARAH #3 with the walking hand. > What's the deal with the Python Officer? > I had to look up a few words and phrases as per usual. > And as for Zartan being a "simulacrum," I gotta believe that Destro and Baroness can tell the difference and are playing along to see where it goes. > My only real complaint is we gotta wait until May 15th for #306. Yes, the cover looks fantastic! |

I'm starting to like the story more, and as always, loving this art. I also got heavy issue #3 vibes with the walking hand. I'm pleased with Larry's change of tone since moving to Skybound, especially in regards to Cobra Commander.
