I’m sorry but it’s terrible. It’s so far from any reality that it’s just another superhero book and not even a good and engaging one. I know the original run had some dodgy moments but it’s not for me.

This was supposed to be in my pullbox this week, but they forgot to pull it. I'm conflicted on whether I should grab it or not. I want to support the team but I can only take so much terrible writing.

Totally fair if you don’t like it, but I’m pretty sure that ARAH has been “far from any reality” since at least issue #3. That’s the brand Hasbro has been making since 1982. It isn’t meant to be realistic. If it was realistic, it would just be a variation of Sgt. Rock and probably would have disappeared decades ago.

Other observation of 302 is that it’s 20 pages. I was hopeful that it would be 22 pages after reading 301 (it had a two page prologue of sorts) but no luck. Oh well—beggars can’t be choosers.

I'm always keeping an eye out for the next Special Missions-type story that's devoid of ninjas, robots, etc.; even more-so now with Mooneyham on board. |

The comic definitely feels more like a hardcore version of the cartoon these days - which I don't dislike at all, but I would be more than happy to do away with Mutants, clones, robots and the brainwave scanner once and for all after this arc is finished.

But this current stuff with everyone reborn six times etc is too far. And it?s not even as if it?s good superhero stuff. Reborn was a good try and the idw stuff have some potential i just found that I wasn?t interested in new continuity I don?t 5hink it can be saved now. But enjoy it if it?s your thing

I just got back from my local comic shop. I've been getting GIJoe on my pull account there since 1988. For the better part of the last decade, I have been the ONLY GIJoe book coming into this store.
Today, he told me he had to re-order my issue - because he's had SIX additional people add GIJoe to their pull accounts this past month. And one walk-in bought my copy because it was the only copy avaialble. Holy smokes. GIJoe is hot right now. Wierd. |
