To be clear, I have nothing against Skybound. I've just encountered apathy from every single Joe creative team regarding the twins Zarana & Zandar for the past 20 years. It's hard to be optimistic in that case.

I respect your passion, but maybe it?s time to let it go?

And do what? I'm so severely disabled I can't live independently. G.I. Joe is a nice escape from that, and I have time on my hands to find obscure, fun things like Zarana & Zandar are twins!!

So they say no and you keep trying. There're plenty of success stories, especially in comics, where artists/writers were perpetually told "no," until that lucky break where someone said "yes." Just give that the same determination you do here. If you put as much passion into that as you do this, you're bound to find that door waiting to be opened.

I was impressed with Skybound’s Transformers #1, so I’m optimistic about their Joe series. I like when they dedicate time to under-developed characters, so I’ll keep my fingers crossed that we get some good twin stories sometime early in the run!

Skybound dedicates time to underdeveloped characters?! Awesome! Maybe we'll see Zandar along with Zarana after all!

If that makes you happy, by all means go for it. I just worry that you?re setting yourself up for disappointment. Speaking for myself, I try to be more realistic with my expectations so I?m not disappointed. I?d love to see a return to a Bronze Age art style in comics but I know that probably won?t ever happen so I try to find other things to enjoy about ARAH. I?m pretty excited for #301 and the Duke and CC Energon series look good as well?

Joe is pretty starved for novel writers. Missed opportunity I think.

Why don't you try and find Lynn Beach and ask her to write another novel like Invisibility Island for Joe? The Ballantine ones I have read so far are pretty good. She's the one that came up with the twins idea. Then the book canon could stay unique and you would get what you want.
Joe is pretty starved for novel writers. Missed opportunity I think.
