Honestly if their is another reboot at this point I would prefer a whole new Joe team composed of lesser used characters. Or something with all new characters with the older Joes relegated to trainers, commanders, and cameos, and no more ninjas.
Bring in a whole new generation of Joe, split up Cobra into a series of splinter cells, and come up with some more new villains to fight. After 300 issues or RAH and the various reboots we've had I feel we've read all the stories possible with Duke, Scarlet, Flint, Lady Jaye, Snake Eyes and the rest of the usual suspects. |

I agree that having books that are not in the Hamaverse dont seem to "matter" as much. I think continuing that continuity is a big part of what made Devils Due continuity work as well as it did.
But another book in the Hama continuity while he is also writing the main book? Tricky to pull off! He was the wolverine writer having to tie into x continuity (and also batman during no mans land) so it is something hes done before... Last edited by stopdead; 11-22-2022 at 05:38 PM.. |

Yes, Hama confirmed it himself several months back. A new publisher will continue the series with #301.
I'm enjoying this arc. It's fun and has a classic Marvel run feel to it. I just wish the art team was better. But I don't disagree that ARAH would benefit from fresh ideas. Nah, just call it Snake-Eyes since 3 of them would make up most of the team and would be the only ninjas on it. |

Snake Eyes is the name a highly trained, special mission force. It's purpose, to defend human freedom against Cobra, a ruthless, terrorist organization, determined to rule the world.

I was cool with this series right up to issue 200, after that it took a huge nose dive. The blue ninja story should have ended along time ago. I hope the next editor has a better grasp of the continuity of the series. Hama's memory only seems to extend to issues 21,26,and 27. When he forgot that he killed the October Gaurd was the point where I lost my shit. Hama really needs to retire. I'll give the new publisher a shot it couldn't be any worse then IDW could it? In my best Al Bundy Oh God!!!

Just read it. Loved it. Cliffhanger ending and no hint of where or when it will continue. More comments after I fully process it.

Just read it as well. The multiple SE plot was very rushed, and all the Joes sure accepted the clone as the true SE without hesitation. And good for Wade healing himself so well compared to the where he was in the previous issue.
I did enjoy where the Serpentor plot ended up. Not what I expected. My biggest gripe is the art. Most of the panels were very subpar in my opinion. Backgrounds were extremely bland and the main visuals lacked detail. I?ve always been pretty unimpressed with Gallant, but this was just not good. The cliffhangers were OK, but I would have preferred a bit more resolution. You know, just in case the plug gets pulled on a continuation. Lastly, I had to laugh while I read Waltz?s letter. First, that Hama just finished a script for the second issue coming up. I thought Larry just winged it with no script? Secondly, Waltz praises the Joe lore experts he consulted with while he was editor. Scratched my head at that one. He sure as heck didn?t listen to her on many occasions! |
