It feels like there's too much going on in the story for Genghis Cobra to do anything substantial in the five remaining issues: we've already got the Revanche sleeper agent plot, whatever "sleeping laundry" is, and the Dawn/Sean/Brainwave Scanner stuff, and we're probably going to add a Snake Eyes clone on top of that. The pace really needs to pick up.
That was a good storytelling pace. It was exciting. Surprise! When Serpentor came back when the Joes brought him back, it took this long that time as well. While I like him as Snake-Eyes, he was better as Kamakura. Larry should have named him that instead of Throw-Down.

TALKING JOE 167 - ARAH 295 HIGH STAKES PT5 review now up!
Mark and Tim talk about issue of G.I. Joe ARAH # 295 released 13th July 2022 Links at https://talkingjoe.co.uk/ YouTube video at https://youtu.be/W8cM05zDSsk - We meet Geoffrey the Technoviper - We laud Gallant?s ?acting? and choreography - The plot inching forward and sense of d?j? vu continuing? - Diminishing jeopardy from the Casino BATs? - Why do the Joes call Sean ?Sean?? Well, S.E.A.N. actually stands for Snake Eyes As Normal. Diana chips in a more thoughtful answer too! And for those of you struggling to see the positive in the issue, then you'll love the new feature "say something nice'. |

I always look forward to these episodes Mark! Thanks so much. I usually prefer the podcasts as I can do other things, but your YouTube videos are so handy in showing us the art you guys discuss that i find myself going that way more frequently.

I try to come at the structure of the episodes such that you shouldn't need to have read the comic or have it in front of you to enjoy it. But if you have recently read it ,or are looking at it then it adds more depth. The videos allow us to really highlight details that you can see visually without having to refer back to the comic. |
