I get Dawn's angle, but why is it again that Sean cares about the brainwave scanner?

I'm so torn... With issue 300 right around the corner, I'm as excited for each issue as I've ever been, but they're just not quite measuring up. As others have said, it's going way too slow. I feel like with the end so close, we should feel like we're racing down some class five rapids, not just treading water in the shallow end.
I enjoy the Cobra Casino gimmick, as well as Gallant's fight scenes and art. For the first part of this arc I was dying to know more about Laura 343; I thought we might get character conflict and growth, plus I'm always fascinated by the Crimson Guards. Instead I feel like these last few issues have been a waste of space. In a way, the Casino seems really small. We've got Mindbender telling his plan to Laura (again and again), Cobra Commander sticking his head around once in a while, and the Ninja Force endlessly fighting the same battle. I really wish that page space could be spent on either learning more about these characters or giving some screen time to others. And, still no letter's page! |

I was gonna make a joke here about starting a rescue operation to free all of you from whatever terrorists were tying you up and forcing you to read a comic you don't like.
But then I remembered 24, and how absolutely nothing would get me stop watching 24, no matter how silly it was or how bad I found it. Even when they took out Jack Bauer, the whole reason I watched the show, I still watched it. And suddenly I get where all of guys are at, and I shut my mouth. I mean, I'm still enjoying this comic, but I'm not gonna make fun of you guys for still reading it if you're not. Because I get it. You might appreciate what Dave Barry once said about 24: "24 is my favorite TV show of all time, except when I am actually watching it."

The only post-155 ARAH comics/trades I own are volumes 21 (Special Missions) and 25 (Untold Tales). Not sure if I'll pick up volume 26.

Trust me, I have asked myself almost every month for a few years now why I continue to buy this comic every month and I cannot come up with a suitable answer. I don't even have a delusion of expecting it to get better. Oddly enough, I'm kinda sad to hear it is ending. I think in some way my brain just wants to have something from my childhood continue, even if it isn't that enjoyable, so I just throw the four bucks into the wind as if they never existed.
